Taylor Swift Sends a Message With Her Red Minidress by Vivienne Westwood on the Grammys 2025 Red Carpet

Taylor Swift‘s corset era continued at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. The music star arrived on the red carpet while wearing a red dress in a familiar silhouette.

For the occasion, Swift opted to wear a sparkling Vivienne Westwood couture dress with a draped corseted bodice and asymmetrical cut. Swift wore the one-shoulder gown with a red jeweled chain along her thigh that nodded to a rosary and dangled with a “T.”

Swift leaned into the vibrant red color of the dress, coordinating dangling red earrings, a red lip and a pair of red stiletto sandals with the dress.

The color choice was notable. Not only did it pay homage to Swift’s “Red” era — the surrounding release of her 2012 fourth album — it also recalls the red parade of looks she’s worn in recent months while supporting her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. While there’s no Chiefs game today, the team will play in the Super Bowl next Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Swift’s recent game-day fashion spree has also consisted of corseted looks — precisely one by Vivienne Westwood. Back in October Swift wore a tartan Vivienne Westwood set from the brand’s fall 2024 collection that consisted of a draped corset top and an asymmetrical kilt miniskirt.

In November, Swift also opted to wear Vivienne Westwood for a night out in New York City. She wore a paint-splashed tea-length dress with strokes of red and yellow at the corset, pairing it with Vivienne Westwood’s Granny Frame purse.

Not to mention, last July, Swift also chose Vivienne Westwood when dressing for a double date with Kelce, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes. The songwriter and singer wore Vivienne Westwood’s powder blue Sunday dress and layered it over a tartan corset.

Corsets have been prevalent on both the red carpet and the runways over the past couple of years, having emerged as a breakout trend during the fall 2023 Paris couture runways thanks to designers like Daniel Roseberry of Schiaparelli, Thom Browne, Elie Saab and Mohammed Ashi.

While Swift isn’t performing at the 2025 Grammy Awards, she will be presenting tonight — as well as competing for six categories. Swift was nominated this year for album of the year and best pop vocal album of the year with “The Tortured Poets Department,” best pop duo/group performance with “us.” by Gracie Abrams, and best music video, record of the year, and song of the year with “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone.
