As Hollywood’s finest line The Golden Globes Awards 2025 red carpet, special thanks are in order for the skin care products that lay the foundation for A-listers’ glowing makeup looks. Case in point? Actress Ali Wong’s radiant complexion, which comes courtesy of Tatcha beauty products and celebrity makeup artist Daniel Martin.
Wong, who is nominated for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy or Television for her work in “Ali Wong: Single Lady” accentuated her custom Balenciaga bustier dress look with pared back, skin-first glam complete with a nude lip. To achieve the effect, Martin — who works with a slew of A-listers and also makes a cameo in Meghan Markle’s forthcoming Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan” — prepped Wong’s skin with Tatcha skin care products, including two of the brand’s newest releases.
“I love utilizing the Tatcha skin care ritual because each product does exactly what I need it to do before makeup — balance and hydrate skin for a long night,” Martin tells WWD.
Martin used six Tatcha skin care products on Wong’s complexion, starting with the Kissu Lip Mask that preps the lips for even lipstick application. After applying Tatcha’s The Essence, Martin gave Wong a glow boost with Tatcha’s The Brightening Eye Cream and The Brightening Serum. These newly-released skin care products help to promote a more even skin tone in the long run with the short term benefit of less puffiness and increased hydration.
“The Bioferments and Japanese Plum in Tatcha’s The Brightening Eye Cream truly brightens, lifts and firms the eye area after use making it easier to see how much coverage you need, or not, in the eye area,” Martin says.
To seal in the face serums, Martin applied a bestselling moisturizer for normal to oily skin from the celeb-loved brand, the Tatcha Water Cream. And as a final step before applying her minimalist, glowing makeup look, Martin opted for Tatcha’s The Liquid Silk Canvas Primer, a weightless formula that extends the wear time of foundations, concealers, and liquid blushes for long nights.
