AN’s Best of Practice Awards is back for its 2024 edition

The Architect’s Newspaper’s Best of Practice Awards is back and bigger than before. Now open for submissions, this program seeks to celebrate the companies that create our built environment, from architects to developers, fabricators, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, lighting designers, and more. The 2024 edition comes with an expanded program and exciting new offerings. With 20 categories across seven regions, Best of Practice crowns the top businesses in the AEC Industry.

What does it mean to be a business worthy of recognition? A jury of esteemed professionals will review offices using the following criteria: design, culture, and social impact. Design considers the company’s work product and evaluates the level of quality present in completed projects. Culture considers the internal experience and operations that can best support their employees and create an office culture that prizes advancement, achievement, and diversity. Finally, social impact looks at how a firm engages with its community to envision and enact a better world.

This year, AN is introducing additional opportunities to help recognize new talent in the industry. Emerging firms can now receive a 50 percent price reduction from the standard rate, applicable in addition to the other discounts like the Early Bird pricing which is currently open now through March 8.

The application process is short and straightforward. Submission requires only two materials: Up to 10 images or documents of completed work and the company’s written statement that should be no longer than 500 words. To help convey the experience of working with the company, an optional testimonial from a client can also be submitted but is not necessary.

Winning companies will receive a specially designed trophy, as well as a feature in AN’s annual Best of issue. In addition, the announcements will circulate online to be seen by one million AN readers and followers and fellow peers of the AEC community.

Submissions are open until April 19. Learn more about eligibility, see the full list of categories, and start applications here.
