Beyoncé Embraces White-hot Dressing in Prabal Gurung for Cécred Launch Party With Tina Knowles in Nadine Merabi Lace Jumpsuit

Beyoncé threw an all-white party to celebrate the launch of her new hair care line, Cécred, in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The singer embraced the event’s dress code in a white-hot look from Prabal Gurung’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection, consisting of a one-shoulder corset top, a pair of high-rise baggy pants and a flowy parachute jacket. She elevated the look with matching Amina Muaddi’s platforms.

Prabal Gurung was inspired by his family’s immigration experience from South Asia to the U.S. to create his spring 2024 collection. “My goal with this collection is we live in this day and age where we’re curious about each other’s cultures, but afraid of cultural appropriation,” Gurung told WWD, as previously reported. “I was like, let me find a way to tell a story where we can see each other and not be afraid, so there’s a mix of the silhouettes and the shapes from where I grew up in India and Nepal, and a mix of the ease and pragmatism of the West.”

The singer is having a busy February. After announcing the release of her upcoming country album, “Renaissance: Act II,” Beyoncé pivoted to the promotion of Cécred, a hair care line that debuted with a range called The Foundation collection, which includes shampoos and conditioners, a treatment mask, a hair oil and a two-step treatment ritual.

“She [Beyoncé] has been very involved from the inception. This is her baby, and we’re all just walking in her vision of what we can do in hair care,” said Grace Ray, Cécred’s chief executive officer, in an exclusive interview with WWD.

In partnership with BeyGood, Beyoncé’s public charity foundation, Cécred will disseminate $500,000 in small business grants and cosmetology school scholarships.

During the launch party of the brand, Beyoncé was accompanied by her mother, Tina Knowles, who also embraced a white hue in a lacy Nadine Merabi jumpsuit.

Beyoncé and Knowles have been attending public events quite often in the past. The mother-daughter duo was seen together at the Luar fall 2024 front row on Feb. 13, where they showed support to Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr., son of Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles, who debuted as a runway model at the event. They were also together at the “Mea Culpa” premiere in New York on Feb. 14.
