Beyoncé took “Alien Superstar” to a whole new level on Saturday at the premiere of “Renaissance,” a concert film that celebrates her latest worldwide tour.
For the occasion, Beyoncé wore custom Atelier Versace. Her strapless silver gown featured Space Age flares on the Italian label’s trademark chainmail, including a geometric bodice and metallic opera gloves. Her hip-length, ash blond tresses seemingly nodded to Donatella Versace, the brand’s artistic director, whose pin-straight platinum mane is one of her signatures.
The singer completed her look with matching silver pumps and a pair of dangle earrings from Tiffany & Co., which came adorned with purple and pink sapphires and diamonds.
“Beyoncé, you are a vision in Versace,” Donatella Versace wrote on Instagram. “You are unique. One of one, the number one, the only one! I can’t wait to see the ‘Renaissance tour’ movie.”
Beyoncé wore a plethora of custom designer pieces while on her “Renaissance” tour including a purple and gold Barocco print minidress by Versace. Beyoncé sported the chainmail frock during a performance at So-Fi Stadium in Los Angeles. Her ensemble came with a matching mesh top, wide-brim hat and knee-high boots.
“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” will premiere in theaters throughout the U.S. on Friday, although there are already showings in select cities. This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has been in the director’s chair: she previously helmed “Homecoming,” a 2019 concert film charting her performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, as well as 2013’s HBO documentary “Beyoncé: Life Is but a Dream.”
