Balvin began dating Ferrer, a model and former Miss Argentina, in 2018. They welcomed their first child, a son, in 2021.

The U.S. Open kicked off Monday night at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in the Queens borough of New York City. The first day of the tennis tournament drew a number of celebrities, including former U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Vera Wang, Katie Couric and Lindsey Vonn.

Spanish pro Carlos Alcaraz and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic are expected to face off in this year’s men’s finals after a nail-biting matchup at Wimbledon in July, which saw Alcaraz take home the trophy. Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek of Poland is expected to sweep the women’s singles category.
