Saoirse Ronan looked back to New York Fashion Week for her look at the BFI Southbank In Conversation event alongside friend and former costar Timothée Chalamet on Wednesday in London. The two Oscar-nominated actors discussed their respective careers. Both stars have new films out in 2024 — Chalamet stars as Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown” and Ronan stars in “The Outrun” and “Blitz.”
Ronan opted for a selection from Khaite‘s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The look featured a slim pink organza funnel neck dress with additional black fabric underneath to complete the ornate design.
The dress included textural elements, with a contemporary design and contrasting colorway. Ronan paired the look with sandal heels. The actress often collaborates with stylist Danielle Goldberg. For his attire, Chalamet opted for a distressed brown leather jacket overtop a yellow button-down. He completed the look with oversized dark brown cargo pants.
Ronan’s ensemble for the London event made its runway debut during New York Fashion Week last September. “Expanding on the commercial success of her dreamy organza dresses, [creative director and founder Catherine Holstein] went wild with sheer looks and layering, creating what may be the first major spring trend–sheer organza pants,” Booth Moore wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“She showed them in a number of cool ways, in black under a slim pink organza funnel neck dress, in subtle pinstripes under an oversized double breasted black blazer, and in nude matched to a cropped sleeveless top of twisting organza tubes,” Moore wrote.
“There were also lots of lovely organza dresses with floating scarfy layers, whirled body-hugging ruching, or in modernist-looking sheer and opaque collaged tunic shapes.”
Ronan and Chalamet’s reunion at the In Conversation at BFI Southbank event comes after the pair costarred in two films directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Greta Gerwig. The two actors both star in 2017’s “Lady Bird” and 2019’s “Little Women.”
