Sarah Jessica Parker and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were a sparkling duo at the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival closing ceremony on Thursday. Both actresses coordinated in sparkling Oscar de la Renta gowns at the event, held in the historic Al-Balad district of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Chopra Jonas wore a strapless column gown featuring an intricately folded rose inspired by origami techniques and a back thigh-high slit. The dress was from the brand’s spring 2025 collection. She posed on the red carpet with her husband, Nick Jonas, who donned a classic tuxedo.
Meanwhile, Parker opted for an ombrè gown from Oscar de la Renta’s fall 2024 collection. Her dress featured shimmering sequins, a fringy skirt and a sleeveless silhouette. Parker has frequently worn Oscar de la Renta designs, both on and off the red carpet. The brand is also part of her character Carrie Bradshaw’s wardrobe in “Sex and the City.”
During the closing ceremony of the film festival, Chopra Jonas was honored with a prestigious Honorees Award for her remarkable contributions to global cinema. Parker presented the award.
The festival was held in the new Cultural Square venue in the Al-Balad district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The space, built in the traditional Al-Balad style, features five cinemas and an auditorium, where the festival’s screenings and premieres will be hosted. More than 120 films from 81 countries were featured in this year’s festival. Academy Award-winning filmmaker Spike Lee served as head of the jury for the features competition.
