Scarlett Johansson Embraces the Vest Trend in Monochrome Khaki Look for ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Appearance

Scarlett Johansson is the latest celebrity to fashion the vest trend. The Oscar-nominated actress styled the trend during her upcoming appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on July 11.

For her daytime talk show look, Johansson wore the Mayte Vest in Khaki Sportswear Wool set courtesy of Gabriela Hearst. The vest featured a strong shoulder and double-breasted front closure on the oversized vest. The wool vest also featured dual pockets.

Johansson’s look also featured tailored trousers in the same shade of khaki to create a monochrome effect with gold elements on the buttons. The actress continued the gold motif with her accessories, including rings, necklaces and bracelets.

As for her glam, Johansson maintained the warm-hued aesthetic. Her golden blond tresses were styled down with a soft wave and her makeup featured soft pink lip with a hint of a smoky eye.

Johansson becomes the latest celebrity to embrace the vest trend. The Y2K look recently received a refined, redefined aesthetic with tailored design with a coordinated set of trousers to go along with the vest.

Thus far, stars like Jessica Alba and Willow Smith have put their own twist on the trend. Alba wore a tailored iteration of the vest during her appearance at Wimbledon in 2023. Smith embraced a Y2K spin on the trend during the recording artist’s appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” last May. Smith paired the vest with a pair of black shorts, sheer tights and Converse.

Johansson stars in the forthcoming movie “Fly Me to the Moon,” which tells the story of Kelly Jones (Johansson) and launch director Cole Davis’s (Channing Tatum) difficult task regarding the 1969 moon landing. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is asked to film a fake moon landing as back-up. The film hits theaters July 12.
