Taylor Swift was the top red carpet female celebrity of 2024, based on a new data analysis from Launchmetrics. The singer generated a total of $319.2 million in media impact value — a proprietary metric developed by Launchmetrics that assigns a true monetary value to marketing strategies across print, online and social media to calculate ROI — with her appearances in association with six shows, including the Golden Globe Awards, Critics Choice Awards, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and Oscars.
By comparison, Billie Eilish was the second top celebrity from the red carpet season, generating a total of $167.3 million in MIV between the award shows she attended in 2024.
Although Swift was on the road for most of the year for her “The Eras” tour, she was able to hit the red carpet for a few major award shows wearing luxury brands such as Gucci, Dior, Christian Louboutin and others.
In February, Swift wore a custom Schiaparelli gown to the 2024 Grammy Awards, at which she announced her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The appearance generated a total of $6.8 million in MIV for Schiaparelli.
Other brands also profited from Swift’s appearances outside the red carpet in 2024. Thanks to her outfit choice for the Super Bowl LVIII, Swift generated $1.8 million in MIV for Dion Lee and $281,000 for Area. The singer’s record-breaking “The Eras” tour also delivered significant media exposure for high fashion houses from May 17 to July 27 in the U.S., with Versace earning $6.3 million in MIV.
A look back at Taylor Swift’s red carpet appearances in 2024
“The Tortured Poets Department” singer started the year with two back-to-back red carpet appearances. Last January, Swift attended the 2024 Golden Globe Awards in a sparkling green Gucci dress custom-designed by creative director Sabato de Sarno. She also wore green leather pumps from Christian Louboutin and accessorized her shimmering look with De Beers jewelry.
One month later, Swift attended the 2024 Grammy Awards, wearing a custom Schiaparelli gown. The white dress featured a strapless neckline, delicate draping and a thigh-high slit. The gown also came complete with a floor-length train. She accessorized the look with a stack of black and white diamond jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz.
Swift also attended the 2024 MTV VMAs in New York City last September. For the red carpet occasion, the singer wore a selection from Dior’s resort 2025 collection — a high-low dress consisting of a taffeta tartan corset and flowing train with a bubble hem.
