This floor-length, gray pleated gown has a regal quality of an empress of a future universe. The metallic eye makeup enhances the futuristic flair. The side cutout of the dress allows her to be in control of the fabric, preventing it from becoming overpowering. She looks incredible.

The most recent Margiela couture show was a turning of the tide toward old-school dramatic fashion, and it’s turned out to be as impactful on the red carpet as it was on the runway — a very difficult feat. Taylor-Joy and this collection are a match made in heaven. The frizzy curls make the look even cooler.

It’s very difficult to find the right moment to bring this look back, as it comes with such responsibility. Yet Zendaya is such a fashion one-of-a-kind that she can pull this off and make it hers at the same time. This is easily the most memorable outfit of the whole press tour and has added a new chapter to this legendary Mugler look’s history.

There are very few occasions when hooded gowns work on the red carpet. This chocolate brown sequined number frames her face perfectly, and drapes over the rest of her body beautifully. It continues this retro-future theme that has dominated the aesthetic of the press tour consistently.

There is something slightly humorous about this futuristic nun, while at the same time being extremely cool. While the sheer hood might be the most attention-grabbing, the layered dress underneath is beautiful in its own right, beautiful and chic.

The white column dress is a big trend on the runway, and this version translates well to this press tour thanks to the geometric transparencies and three-dimensional gold embellishments. This seems to be the ideal look for a white ball in a galaxy far, far away.

Timothée Chalamet in Haider Ackermann in London: A-

The long-lasting relationship between Ackermann and Chalamet continues to have fruitful results. The metallic chain embroidered pants carry the weight of the look, yet the one-of-a-kind Cartier diamond necklace is a great finishing touch for a fashion prince.

Who knew they had such chic waiters at the “Dune” premiere!? We’ll have two glasses of Champagne, please. Sure, this is a very high level crowd, but Butler can do better than this. There is nothing wrong with the look but it just doesn’t work in the context of everything else.
