Supermodel Winnie Harlow attended the 2024 CFDA Awards, held Monday night at New York City’s American Museum of Natural History. The evening included a red carpet and cocktail reception, followed by a gala dinner that honored both emerging and established designers across various categories.
Harlow wore a gown by designer and longtime friend Kate Barton, a 2024 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist. Her ensemble featured a corset-style bodice in a metallic silver front, a signature of Barton’s paired with a voluminous light blue skirt. The gown’s reflective bodice and flowing skirt presented a balance of structure and fluidity. Harlow accessorized with a diamond choker.
On the red carpet, Harlow posed with Barton, who wore a similar pink dress featuring a metallic bodice and soft skirt silhouette that complemented Harlow’s ensemble. Harlow accessorized with matching blue stockings and heels, and carried a futuristic glass bag containing a single lip gloss by the designer, a signature from her debut collection.
Harlow and Barton’s coordinated looks continue their collaboration from New York Fashion Week in September, where Harlow closed Barton’s debut runway show. The CFDA Awards annually recognize designers in categories such as American Womenswear Designer of the Year, American Menswear Designer of the Year, American Accessory Designer of the Year and Shop With Google American Emerging Designer of the Year, offering a platform for designers at various career stages.
