Sarah Pidgeon Wore Chanel for the Opening Night of ‘Stereophonic’ on Broadway

Sarah Pidgeon has officially marked her first opening night on Broadway. The actress stars in new play “Stereophonic,” which opened on April 19 at Broadway’s Golden Theatre. The production, which transferred to Broadway after a run at Playwrights Horizons last fall, portrays a fictional ‘70s rock band on the brink of stardom as they work to record their second album. Pidgeon stars as band member Diana.

After Friday’s show, the actress changed out of costume and into a full Chanel look, styled by Chloe Hartstein, for the opening night party. “It was the perfect outfit for opening — it felt timeless and elegant, yet fun with a bit of ‘70s style infused in it,” she said. Her hair and makeup team paired the look with “soft glam and undone hair.”

“It was such an incredible night celebrating this moment and this show with family and friends. It will be a night I will never forget,” she added.

The celebrations continued on Monday, when the actress was announced on the Drama League Awards’ list of nominees for distinguished performance. With Tony nominations set to be announced on April 30, there may be even more celebratory nights ahead.
